Chapter History

Phi Mu has a long and thriving history on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. Phi Mu Zeta Gamma was founded in 1921. The original chapter house was located at 1520 R St.

‚ÄčThe chapter reorganized in 1965 and moved into a new home that was located at 1125 N 16th St. Due to the growth of the University, that property and others became Student Housing.

Phi Mu then moved once again in 2002 into our current chapter house located at 626 N 16th street at the heart of Greek Row. The Mu Mansion has a close proximity to any class, the recreation center, the library, and of course, Memorial Stadium.

‚ÄčEvery member is welcome to the house at any time. Whether it be for lunch, a place to study or to meet up with sisters, the chapter house is the place to be. Our first floor was also just remodeled in the summer of 2016.

As an active member, you have the opportunity to live in the chapter house. Our home, which houses 39, offers a variety of sizes of rooms, including the most singles on campus and a 5-person room. Our live-ins enjoy access to our 24-hour kitchen and the ability to be around their sisters all the time.
